It’s May, which I have dubbed the unofficial month of Rosé. Rosé all day baby! For the entire month of May I will be making rosé infused treats.

Today kicks off the first of those recipes with a simple strawberry basil rosé frozen yogurt.

Pour me a glass of rosé

This frozen yogurt recipe doesn’t require too much rosé, so that’s all the more for you to enjoy! So while you whip up your strawberry basil rosé frozen yogurt, feel free to pour yourself a glass of the good stuff.

Have you tried Target’s new brand of wines? I had been reading recently they’re really good. And really good for your wallet. I’m talking $5 for a bottle!

Thank goodness, too, because I had to buy quite a few, all in the name of recipe testing, of course. I mean if I’m going to be making rosé recipes all month, I need to have a good, yet inexpensive bottle to test with.

How to make strawberry basil rosé frozen yogurt

This frozen yogurt is really like summer-time in frozen form. From fresh strawberries {that have been looking gorgeous lately} to fresh basil, I just couldn’t get enough of this sweet, cool treat.

Only one appliance is required to make this recipe: a food processor. This is truly my favorite one. Not only is it great for this strawberry basil rosé frozen yogurt, but it also does an awesome job with this ‘nicecream’ and this vegan chocolate pudding {which is also awesome on a hot summer day}.

Just a few simple ingredients are needed for this recipe. We have strawberries and basil {because, well it’s strawberry basil frozen yogurt}. Plain Greek yogurt {for good probiotics} and a little nonfat dry milk powder {to mimic the creaminess in ice cream}. And then some frozen bananas for thickener and sweetness.

Then finally, the rosé {YAY!}.

Sip and chill

Once all ingredients are blended and smooth, pour into a large glass bowl with a lid and place in the freezer. Now’s your time to sip on your rosé until you have frozen yogurt to nosh on.

When you’re ready, leave the strawberry basil rosé frozen yogurt out on the counter to thaw a bit. It won’t be quite as creamy as real ice cream, but it will be just as delicious, I promise!
